This blog is a wander through the study of plants and plant lore. It was inspired by my long standing affection for the 1960s TV series The Herbs which was often shown at odd hours during the 1980s and which I would often watch with family when I was ill. This in turn led my own academic interest in medicine, and the many uses of plants and herbs. The posts on this site are a mix of plant related matter - some academic, some whimsical - as such more serious posts with have the label 'academic', and can be found here, while humorous posts will be labelled as such and can be found here.
